A bit OT but I think it's both what you say and the fact that those people played this game so much that now it's like a second nature to them and can manage to do anything easily without any effort. Personally I hate things being balanced around these, but this is guru so...

Well, I love factions, and I love kaineng city. I didn't hate anything about WoC, I haven't played much since gw has really died down for those of us that has played it since release and I really really enjoyed what ANet accomplished with such a small team. That's probably why I am giving them so much leeway.

All in all.. a thumbs up from me, gave me something to do. Even got me playing again a little more often.

I think there is a little too much whining considering we get everything from ANet for free, aside from buying the game and never having to spend another penny.

The whining usually comes from PvP, where anyone will agree to say that it would have been more pleasant if there wasn't any update ever there, apart of bug fixes..( breaking skills, breaking non OP builds, not nerfing OP builds, deleting 2 formats, not doing any single content update, etc...)

The only problem generally in PvE is the tendancy to make it only about farming( as a consequence of Sc's, which are a consequence of not nerfing OP builds), and it was mainly the problem in WoC, where some quests were clearly about killing 10 mobs every 5 steps..

About getting everything for free : that argument is quite making no sense, if you consider the number of " big updates " we had totally, there aren't so many. You still paid the 4 games, and excuse me, but costumes price is too high in my opinion. For the same price in a common game today, you usually get either a small extension, either a pack of new characters, etc...
Besides, there are also many games offering free content...

An hour for a quest? That is the thing that pisses me about GW. Many parts are really not that hard but they are extremely tedious!

Many people here do not seem to know the difference between the two words, so they use the same word, "hard", for both situations. If you have worked in an assembly line and you need to screw in a bolt each time a block comes through the line, it gets really boring. It is not "hard" to screw in a bolt, but doing this same task repeatedly for a million times per day, gets really TEDIOUS. It is also de-humanizing and destroys creativity. In contrast, beating someone like Gary Kasparov in speed chess is really hard, even though it doesn't take as long.

I don't think I would be doing the HM version anytime soon. The ROI (Return-On-Investment) for attempting that HM quest would be negative as the cost is too high.
